There is a volunteer Warden who has separate living quarters.
More details can be found here: http://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/places-to-go/marlborough/places/pelorus-and-kenepuru-sounds-area/things-to-do/lodges/nydia-lodge/
We have booked the whole place for Friday 9th and Saturday 10th February. If you wish to stay before or after, please contact the DOC Office in Picton on +64 3 520 3002
The adult rate is $15 per night. However, as we have booked (and hope to fill) the whole place it works out at $20 for the two nights. Pretty cheap accommodation for a wedding right!? If we have you down for staying here, we would very much appreciate it if you could pop $20 p/p into our bank account:

Whilst the Lodge is tucked away in the woods, the view across the bay from the jetty is amazing. The On The Track Lodge is across the bay, directly below the highest peak.
Getting to the On The Track Lodge:
Getting from the DOC Lodge to the On The Track Lodge involves a walk or bike of about 3km. The Ceremony is a further 1km away.
It is a pretty easy ride or walk, although when we went through earlier this year, there had been a slip, which resulted in a little bike carry… There is also a river crossing!
